Reflexology can provide enhanced health and wellbeing for all systems of the body and release deep-rooted anxieties and emotions enabling our bodies and minds to perform at their best. It has been shown to be effective in treating and healing: anxiety and stress, depression, back, neck and shoulder pain, infertility, sleep disorders, digestive disorders and IBS, migraines and headaches, hormonal imbalances, sinusitis, sports and musculo-skeletal injuries, arthritis, menopausal symptoms, menstrual pain and flow, tinnitus and balance problems.
Adults and children of all ages can benefit from reflexology, which in general can help to: reduce stress, strengthen the immune system, reduce pain levels, improve circulation, increase energy levels and vitality, achieve deep relaxation, improve sleep, restore and maintain the body’s natural equilibrium to heal itself.
Contrary to popular belief, hypnosis is not magic or anything like the stage shows! It is a naturally altered state of consciousness, a bit like the stage between waking and sleeping, into which you can allow the therapist to guide you. Although some people find it easier than others to go into trance, almost everyone can go into a sufficient trance for therapy.
Scientific evidence is continually growing which demonstrates the effectiveness of hypnosis in treating a wide range of conditions. There is also strong evidence to suggest that the mind is directly linked to our immune systems, which means that hypnotherapy can affect both our physical and psychological well being. Consequently, hypnotherapy can help with a very wide range of problems, although these generally fall within one of three main categories:
*an unwanted habit which is having a negative effect on their life such as smoking, nail biting, compulsions, a weight problem,
*an unnecessary fear or phobia, such as spiders, heights, plane journeys,
*an issue with confidence, anxiety or stress.
It can be easy to rush through life without stopping to notice much. Paying more attention to the present moment – to your own thoughts and feelings, and to the world around you – can improve your mental wellbeing. This awareness is "mindfulness". Mindfulness can help us enjoy life more and understand ourselves better. You can take steps to develop it in your own life.
Reminding yourself to take notice of your thoughts, feelings, body sensations and the world around you is the first step to mindfulness.
Becoming more aware of the present moment can help us enjoy the world around us more and understand ourselves better.
When we become more aware of the present moment, we begin to experience afresh things that we have been taking for granted. Gradually, we can train ourselves to notice when our thoughts are taking over and realise that thoughts are simply 'mental events' that do not have to control us.
Most of us have issues that we find hard to let go and mindfulness can help us deal with them more productively. Awareness of this kind also helps us notice signs of stress or anxiety earlier and helps us deal with them better. Mindfulness is recommended by the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) as a way to prevent depression in people who have had 3 or more bouts of depression, but it is definitely beneficial for everyone as a tool for relaxation, stress relief and control.

Today, more and more of us are turning towards complementary and holistic treatments and medicines, with people focusing more on preventing disease rather than trying to react to it after it strikes. Western medicine has done a lot to cure a variety of diseases, prevent illnesses, and provide long-term treatments to those with chronic ailments, but holistic medicine and therapies can assist the body and mind in bringing about and maintaining a state of health and mental wellness to keep the body strong and balanced.
Peter and Cerys will happily answer any of your questions (big or small) regarding Reflexology, ZFL, EFT, Tapping, Hypnotherapy and Mindfulness, help you to determine your individual needs and guide you with your health and wellbeing goals.
So whether you just need some time for yourself and to relax or are battling with weight loss, chronic pain, stress, addictions, sleeplessness, hormone balance problems, fears and phobias or any of a host of other physical or mental health issues, Mind, Body and Sole Therapies can help.
We very much look forward to seeing you.
